Dedicated to outdoor exploration, conservation, and community engagement in the breathtaking canyon country of Southern Utah — from the towering red cliffs of Vermilion to the hidden depths of Buckskin Gulch.
Kane County Exploration Association (KCEA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity based in Kanab, Utah, at the heart of Southern Utah’s red rock canyon country. The organization is dedicated to promoting responsible outdoor exploration, environmental conservation, and community-based education across Kane County’s spectacular landscape.
Situated where the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Vermilion Cliffs, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes converge, KCEA serves as a steward for one of the most geologically significant regions in the American Southwest. The association organizes guided explorations, trail maintenance programs, and educational workshops that connect people with the awe-inspiring desert environment.

Every initiative begins and ends with the community. By employing local guides, partnering with Kanab businesses, and reinvesting in municipal infrastructure, KCEA ensures that the benefits of outdoor recreation stay rooted in Kane County.
